Sir Bob Geldof has basically said that the US media is anti-Bush when it comes to their ignoring of GW’s foreign aid achievements in Africa. See, I think the problem lies in the notion that Bush doesn’t spend as much time TELLING folks how he feels their pain, like Bill Clinton did — constantly. Instead, Bush just did what he needed to do, with little rah-rah fanfare from the media.
Geldof says that Bush “has done more than any other president, so far” in that area.
Other than the Washington Times — a newspaper to which I’ve contributed, meaning it’s a pretty good indication that it’s not your typical leftist mainstream media rag — I wonder how many others will pick up on this message and report it? So far, the answer is virtually NIL.
