September 10, 2008 – Hitting too close to home?

The petulant little limousine liberal boys who hang out in the editorial sandbox at the National Post are fantasizing about the kind of woman who would have them sprinting out the back door.  So I thought I’d tell them that, given their lack of appropriate self-awareness.  I have omitted/redacted the name of the letters editor in the emails, below, because he seems like a good guy who’s just trying to do his job without any BS or agenda, and as such probably has it hard enough there already.  God knows I did, dealing with these nitwits on a regular basis – and I was lucky enough to have been able to file remotely.

Someone just directed me to your editorial today, and in particular, this part:

“But based on what we’ve seen, we’d gladly take the 44-year-old ex-housewife and ex-mayor over the junior Senator from Illinois. Putting aside her politics — which might be described as red-meat conservatism meets reform-minded populism– she may well be Mr. Obama’s match with a mic.”

Newflash:  Canada will never have a Sarah Palin – a strong, thoroughly originally, politically incorrect conservative woman with a controversial personal life – because we all get driven down to the USA.  Sarah Palin would be burned at the stake in Canada and drummed out of town – by the very people who wrote your editorial.  I should know; I’ve been there.

Best,
Rachel Marsden

  1. Censorship? At The National Post? Why I’m shocked!

I think Canadians with any brains are better off here. We’re glad to have you, now let’s work on sending the 20,000 Canadian librarians home.
